Meet FLY Founder: Vidya Heisel

With an impressive teaching legacy spanning over 50 years, Vidya Heisel possesses a profound understanding of yogic philosophy and meditation that resonates with practitioners worldwide.

In the year 2000, Vidya's passion for yoga led to the creation of Frog Lotus Yoga Studio in Massachusetts. Vidya created her own training at the studio and in 2005 began to take the training on the road, traversing the globe with her trainings for the next ten years.

Her journey eventually led to the creation of Suryalila, in 2011, a beautiful sanctuary for Yoga, in the scenic landscapes of Andalusia, Spain. Within these serene surroundings, practitioners immerse themselves in the teachings of a master, absorbing not only the postures but also anatomy, philosophy and the ethos that defines yoga's essence.
At Suryalila, Vidya has guided and empowered countless yoga teachers, leading numerous iconic 200-hour Yoga Teacher Trainings. In 2024 this dedication was recognised at the OM Yoga Awards, where Vidya was voted Favourite Yoga Teacher trainer.
