It has been successfully running for eighteen years, with multiple teacher trainings offered each year. It has been registered at the 200 Hour and 500 Hour level with Yoga Alliance USA and UK since 2001.
Since its inception, there have been thousands of successful graduates of the Frog Lotus Yoga Teacher Training programme. Our certification is respected internationally, so whether or not you register with Yoga Alliance, you will be able to teach anywhere in the world with this 200 hour Yoga Teaching certification.
We pride ourselves on making sure you feel confident and ready to teach by the end of the training. Our graduates often tell us how well-prepared they were the first time they were invited to a yoga studio to audition. They frequently report that they surprised their interviewers by confidently delivering a competent and professional yoga class, right after graduating from their training.
Yoga Teacher Training is a transformational and life-affirming journey. Read what some of our graduates have said about it here.
What makes our Frog LotusYoga Teacher Training stand out is the depth of experience and knowledge of founder and director, Vidya Jacqueline Heisel, E-RYT 500, SYT. Vidya is a seasoned master yoga teacher with forty years of teaching experience. Vidya leads these outstanding 200 hour FLY Yoga Teacher Certification Courses at Suryalila Retreat Centre, her own retreat centre and home in Southern Spain. Suryalila Retreat Centre itself came about through Vidya’s desire for the perfect environment in which she could fully orchestrate the whole experience of a three-week Yoga Teacher Training intensive. Suryalila is home to the magnificent Om Dome, which is a large and spacious Yoga Shala purpose-built for the trainings. At Suryalila the food is fabulous, the accommodation beautiful and the environment peaceful and uplifting.

I feel absolutely blessed to have had the opportunity to do my yoga teacher training with Vidya. I can’t imagine there is anyone else with as much knowledge, passion and dedication than Vidya, who shared her experience and expertise with us with such grace and in such details. The Yoga practice was incredibly inspirational and refreshing and each day she pulled something new out of the bag to challenge us. In short, the Frog Lotus Yoga teacher training retreats are nothing short of excellent.

I’m not sure what forces brought me here, but words fail to describe the beautiful experience you’ve put me through. When I signed up for this course I did not realise that I had signed up for this magical journey. You are a passionate, dedicated and inspiring lady, and you have deeply motivated me to radiate such warmth and positive energy; you are soft and assertive at the same time; I’m blessed to have had you as my first Guru. Thank you for everything.
