About the Advanced Yoga Teacher Training
The Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Course is a wonderful opportunity to advance your yoga teaching, while enjoying the nurturing environment of Suryalila Retreat Centre in Andalusia.
This 150 hour module is part of the Advanced 300 hour Certification. The Advanced Yoga Teacher Training course now consists of two modules to make up an additional 300 Hours of Yoga Teacher Training to enable a teacher with an existing 200 Hour Training to be recognised at the 500 Hour level. The two parts are Module Gita and Module Sutra (two weeks long). These two modules may be taken in any order.
This module is 150 Hours Yoga Alliance (both USA and UK) certified. It can be taken before or after Module Gita to make the full 300 hours of Advanced Yoga Teacher Certification, or as a standalone module. If you are already certified at the 200 hour level, taking both Module Sutra and Module Gita allows you to gain your 500 Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Certification.
This course is co-taught by,Vidya Heisel E-RYT 500, Founder of Frog Lotus Yoga and Director of Frog Lotus Yoga International Yoga Teacher Training and Jennifer Yarro,E-RYT 500 senior yoga teacher, anatomist and author.

Style of Yoga
Whilst the main style of our school is Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Vidya and Jennifer will also be teaching a more eclectic mix of styles during the training, drawing on other types of Yoga that have influenced their practice and teaching, including, Iyengar Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Forrest Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Meridian Yoga, Partner Yoga and Acro Yoga.
I’m really enjoying integrating all of the information and experiences of the training into my body, practice and classes. The lectures, discussions and workshops presented in the training were above and beyond my expectations and the resources we received have left me with so much more studying to explore as my understanding grows. I find that I have come back to my “normal life” lighter- physically, emotionally and psychologically. I feel a strength and ease in my body that allows me to move with more grace and awareness. I am more consistently observing the world within and around me, and I am in awe of the mystery unfolding. My dedication toward my personal practice has been stoked and the classes I teach have become more intelligent, safer and more creative. A little over 3 years ago, I was in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala for my advanced 150HR YTT with my AMAZING school and teachers Frog Lotus Yoga Teacher Training. I was blessed to meet so many incredible souls, who are now great friends! This training forever changed me. When I arrived I was a timid, nervous, and insecure yoga instructor. I felt like such a newbie and totally out of my league. Throughout those 2 weeks of training- I completely left my comfort zone. I took risks, asked questions, mindfully listened, studied my butt off and allowed myself to be completely vulnerable. I had the absolute time of my life! I laughed, I cried, I deeply bonded with others, spent a ton of time outdoors, stared endlessly at the volcanos, spent time alone and with friends. And of course, practiced yoga and meditation all day and night!
I am grateful for this experience and would do it again in a heartbeat! When I returned to NY, I was a way more confident and knowledgeable yoga instructor. I began to spread my wings sharing my passion for the practice of yoga with anyone who would give me a chance.
